Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
This policy explains what information Sanskriti (operated by AmplifyX Labs, "we") collects when you use the app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
We do not collect your contacts, photos, files, location or other apps' messages, and we do not sell your personal data.
- Phone number. To create your account and sign you in with a one-time password (OTP).
- Profile and birth details. Your name, gender, date, time and place of birth, and preferred language. Birth details are needed to calculate your kundli; you can change them in Settings → Edit profile.
- People you ask about. Birth details of others you add (for example a partner or child) to read their chart or match kundlis. Only add someone's details with their permission; remove them any time in Settings → People.
- Your chats. Your messages and the astrologer's replies are saved so you can read them again and the conversation can continue. The assistant also keeps a short private note of what you discussed (for example an upcoming interview) to remember it next time.
- Voice calls. During a call your voice is streamed to OpenAI to understand it and reply. We do not store call audio. A text transcript is saved in your chat so you can read it later.
- Payments. The plan, amount, status, method (for example UPI or card) and Razorpay's payment and mandate IDs. Never your card number, UPI PIN or bank login.
- Device and app information. Device model, Android version, app version, language, time zone and IP address, to keep your account secure, show where you're signed in and fix problems.
- Push notification ID. A Firebase Installation ID for your phone, so we can send the notifications you allow (for example your morning card, renewal and payment updates).
- Usage information. Which screens you open and which actions you take (for example "message sent", "call ended" and its length, "checkout started"), your daily message and call-minute use, trial dates and subscription status. Never what you say or type.
- Support messages. What you send us through the contact form, with the contact details you give.
2. How we use it
We process your data with your consent, given when you create an account and allow permissions, and as needed to provide the service you asked for. You can withdraw consent at any time by turning off analytics or notifications, or by deleting your account.
- To provide the service: sign-in, calculating charts, answering chats and calls, and remembering earlier conversations.
- To run your trial, subscription, UPI AutoPay and talk time, and apply daily fair-use limits.
- To send notifications you allow: your daily card, and updates about your trial, renewals, payments and refunds.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse (for example repeat trials) and fix bugs.
- To understand how the app is used and measure our advertising, so we can improve both (see PostHog and Meta below).
- To respond to support requests and to meet legal obligations.
3. Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that help us run Sanskriti, and only what they need:
- OpenAI writes the astrologer's replies and runs voice calls. It receives your messages, call audio, your first name and the chart facts we calculate (not your phone number), under its API data-usage policies.
- Razorpay processes payments and UPI AutoPay mandates. It receives your phone number and the payment you make.
- MSG91 sends your OTP by SMS or call. It receives your phone number.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers push notifications. It receives your phone's push ID and the notification text.
- Open-Meteo finds the coordinates and time zone of the places you search for. It receives only the place name.
- PostHog receives usage events with your account ID (not your phone number or name), your plan, app version, device model, Android version and approximate location from your IP address. It never receives what you say or type, or anyone's birth details.
- Meta (Facebook) receives app events that help us measure and improve our ads on Facebook and Instagram: installs and opens, the screens and actions above, sign-up, starting a trial, checkout and purchases (plan and amount). Our server also sends sign-up and payment events (Meta's Conversions API) with a one-way scrambled form of your account ID, the app's Meta install ID, your IP address and device information. Meta never receives what you say or type, your phone number or your name, and we do not collect your phone's advertising ID.
- Cloud hosting, database and caching providers store the data above on our behalf.
4. Your choices
- Share usage analytics (Settings): turn it off and the app stops sending events to PostHog and Meta, and our server stops sending events about you to them.
- Notifications: turn the morning notification off in Settings, or all notifications in your phone's settings. Payment and renewal updates are part of the service and stop when notifications are off.
- You can see and correct your details, clear your chat, remove saved people or delete your account at any time (below).
5. How long we keep it
- Call audio: not stored by us.
- Chats, call transcripts, birth details, saved people and the assistant's notes: until you clear them or delete your account.
- Account: until you delete it. Deleting signs you out everywhere and permanently deletes your chats, transcripts, birth details, saved people and notes. We keep your phone number with the account marked as deleted, so the trial can't be claimed again, together with payment records the law requires us to keep.
- Security and activity logs: about 90 days, then deleted.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:
- see and correct your information (Settings → Edit profile),
- clear your chat (Settings → Clear chat), remove saved people (Settings → People) or delete your account (Settings → Delete account, or on the web),
- turn off usage analytics (Settings → Share usage analytics),
- withdraw consent by deleting your account, and
- ask how your data is processed and raise a grievance (below).
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Sign-in tokens are stored encrypted on your phone (Android Keystore). Access to our systems is restricted, and our admin tools do not show your chats or call transcripts. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you and the authorities of a breach as the law requires.
8. Children
Sanskriti is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without verifiable parental consent. If you think a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make significant changes, we will tell you in the app before they take effect.
10. Contact & grievance redressal
For privacy questions, requests or complaints, contact us. We aim to reply within 7 days and to resolve grievances within 30 days.
